Your child’s sleep diary

Two days before your appointment we will ask you to send us 7 days of sleep diary data (sometimes less depending on the age of your child). When choosing an appointment, make sure you allow enough time to collect this data. Tracking your child’s sleep is really important and helps us use our time together more efficiently.

There are three different ways you can fill in your child’s sleep diary. Please choose one of the following options.

Please note, if you send us a list of times or other descriptive data, we will ask you to fill the data in to one of the below templates prior to your appointment.

Use your laptop or computer

Download our editable excel spreadsheet - it contains handy formulas that auto-calculate certain sleep variables. When you’ve completed 7 days of data, hit ‘reply’ on your appointment confirmation email, attach the diary, and hit ‘send.’ Your sleep diary will be delivered to your practitioner.

 

Use your phone, tablet, or iPad

If you prefer to use an app, we recommend Baby Tracker. If you already use another app, check if it generates screenshots like the examples below and if you’re unsure send us an email to check: hello@infantsleep.com.au. ‘Huckleberry’ is also suitable.

When it’s time to send us your diary take two screenshots that show your sleep data in the same layout as the examples below. Then hit ‘reply’ on your appointment confirmation email, attach the screenshots, and hit ‘send.’ Your sleep diary will be delivered to your practitioner.

Use a Pen & paper diary

If you prefer to work with pen and paper, then please download our printable sleep diary. When you’ve completed 7 days of data, hit ‘reply’ on your appointment confirmation email, attach a photo of the diary, and hit ‘send.’ Your sleep diary will be delivered to your practitioner.
